Cookie Dough Taquitos

Cookie dough wrapped in an air fried tortilla?

Yes, please!

When I came up with this idea my mind was set on the types of delicious treats you’d get at carnivals- all fried, sugary and delicious.

But macro-friendly and low-calorie don’t necessarily go hand-in-hand with fried and sugary.

So that got my wheels turning on what I could reinvent that I already had in my kitchen.

I had a bunch of tortillas laying around- a great place to start.

And I had already air fried some oreos- with HUGE success. So that got me thinking I could probably do the same with cookie dough.

Turned out I absolutely could!

BUT what’s even better- inside of making that carnival delicacy a once in a while indulgence, you can make it any EVERY day sweet treat!

This low calorie version comes in at only 131 calories and 18g of carbs.

Keep reading to see how to make these Taquitos.

As an added bonus I had put this recipe plus 5 other epic low calorie air fryer wonders together in one video.

So you’ve got the ingredients, a video tutorial PLUS  a ton of other great stuff to try when you’re ready!

Instructions
  1. 1.) Add all your dry ingredients (except mini chocolate chips) into a bowl and mix to avoid clumping. Add your almond milk slowly and mix and repeat until you have a frosting like consistency. Now mix in your greek yogurt until fully combined. Add to the freezer for 5-10 minutes to help thicken up a bit more. After the freezer, add your mini chocolate chips and mix those in.
  2. 2.) Now it’s time to roll up your taquitos. Lay your tortilla flat and add some of your cookie dough to one side. Roll the tortilla tightly. Repeat this process for all 6 taquitos. Then add to your air fryer and spray tops with non stick cooking spray. Cook on 400 degrees F for 3-4 minutes till golden. Then enjoy!
