Meatball Subs

Meatball Subs

Ingredients

Ingredients for 10 Meatballs:

16oz 96/4 Lean Ground Beef

25g Yellow Mustard

5g Parsley

Sea Salt

Garlic Powder

Black Pepper

Basil

Oregano

120g Marinara Sauce (won’t be using all of this so only ½ will be accounted for in the macros)

Rest of Ingredients for 2 Subs:

2 Deli Hoagie Rolls (mine had 36g Carbs)

5g Parmesan Cheese

28g Part Skim Mozzarella

Pinch of Parsley

Directions

Directions:

1.) Add all your meatball ingredients into your bowl and mix with your hands till all is combined. Then form into 10 equal sized meatballs.

2.) Then preheat your stove top pan to a 6/10 heat and add your meatballs to the pan. Brown each side of the meatballs. That means all the sides not just the top and bottom.

3.) Once browned, add lower the heat of the pan to a 4ish/10 and add your marinara to the pan. Add cover on top of pan and simmer meatballs for 15 minutes. Flip the meatballs periodically so each meatball gets equal time in the marinara.

4.) Now slice your hoagie roll down the top like a hotdog roll and a bit of the marinara from the pan to the bottom. Then add 4 meatballs, parmesan cheese, mozzarella, and parsley. Then you could add it to your air fryer on 400 degrees F for 2 minutes to toast. I just used my torch to melt the cheese but in hindsight, the air fryer would’ve been the perfect move.

5.) Then once ready, slice in half and enjoy!
