Low Calorie Pizza Recipe
Pizza is one of those foods that’s considered pretty taboo and in the category of a “cheat food.”
When I was trying to meet my fitness and physique goals, pizza was the thing that was the hardest for me to give up.
Traditional pizzas are anything but macro-friendly. They are typically super high fat and carbs because the nature of the ingredients.
Even though I really wanted to reach my goals I truly felt that I shouldn’t have to suffer in the process. There had to be a way to make my favorite food a little bit healthier and fit my caloric allotment.
Proud to say since that struggle nearly a decade ago, I’ve found plenty of ways to recreate low calorie “cheat foods.”
We wanted to completely redefine that and bring you a free low-calorie, easy to make and absolutely delicious pizza.
On the menu today is a Personal Pita Pizza. This free pizza recipe comes in at under 150 calories and takes less than 5 minutes to make.
Personal Pita Pizza
Macros for each Pita Pizza:
149 Cals, 13g Carbs, 5g Fat, 13g Protein
Ingredients:
Ingredients (for each pizza. just multiply the ingredient for how many pizzas you want to make):
1 Pita of your Choice (I used @josephspitabread40g Pizza Sauce of your choice
21g Light Cheese of your Choice (mine had 5g Fat per serving)
10g Egg Whites for Egg White Wash
Garlic Powder
Directions:
Preheat oven to 450 degrees F. Line your pizza pan with aluminum foil. Spray foil with non stick cooking spray.
Brush egg white wash onto pita and sprinkle garlic powder on top.
Add to oven for 6-8 minutes until Pitas are golden
Add back to oven for 6-8 minute till cheese is melted and then enjoy!
