PB&J Protein Donuts

Ingredients

Ingredients for Protein Donut (makes 6):

18g Powdered PB

8g Coconut Flour

5g Zero Cal Sweetener of your choice

5g Baking Powder

100g Greek Yogurt

40g Unsweetened Apple Sauce

70g Egg Whites

10g Sprinkles

 

Protein Frosting for all 6 Donuts:

20g Flex Vanilla Whey Protein Powder (or protein of your choice) Code “FDL” saves you 15% on proteincookiebutter.com 

12g Powdered PB

45g Plain NonFat Greek Yogurt

4g Sugar Free/Fat Free Cheesecake Pudding Mix (optional)

5g Powdered Sugar

2g Zero Cal Sweetener of your choice

Cold Water to consistency of frosting

Rest of toppings:

15g Crushed Peanuts

60g Low Carb Strawberry Jelly Recipe

 

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Add your dry donut ingredients into a bowl (except for your sprinkles) and mix to avoid clumping. Do the same with your wet ingredients in a separate bowl. Then combine dry with wet and mix till you have a thick batter like consistency. Add the sprinkles into your batter and mix those in.
  2. Take a donut pan and spray each donut mold with non stick butter spray. Add the batter evenly into all 6 molds. Place in oven and bake for 10 minutes. Once done, pop out carefully and let cool for an hour or so on a cooling rack until they reach room temp.
  3. While those are cooling, make the protein frosting by adding all the dry ingredients into a bowl and mixing to avoid clumping. Add cold water 10ml at a time and mix until a frosting like consistency. Then add 45g of the greek yogurt and mix well. Add to fridge to keep cool while donuts are cooling.
  4. Once donuts are cool, add the frosting on top then crushed peanuts followed by the low carb strawberry jelly. Then enjoy!
