Frosted Cinnamon Roll Protein Donut

Ingredients

Ingredients (makes 6 Doughnuts):

16g Frosted Cinnamon Roll 

10g All Purpose Flour

8g Coconut Flour

4g Ground Cinnamon

6g Zero Cal Sweetener of your choice

6g Baking Powder

100g Plain NonFat Greek Yogurt

40g Unsweetened Apple Sauce

70g Egg Whites

2g Vanilla Extract

 

Cinnamon Roll Protein Frosting:

100g Plain NonFat Greek Yogurt

16g Frosted Cinnamon Roll 

2g Ground Cinnamon

2g Zero Cal Sweetener of your choice

 

Protein Icing:

15g Flex Vanilla Whey Protein Powder (or protein of your choice) Code “FDL” saves you 15% on proteincookiebutter.com 

7g Powdered Sugar 

15g Plain NonFat Greek Yogurt

1-2g Zero Cal Sweetener of your choice (optional)

 

Toppings:

15 Crushed Cinnamon Toast Crunch Cereal

Directions

1️.) Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Add the dry donut ingredients into a bowl and mix to avoid clumping. Mix the wet ingredients in a separate bowl. Combine dry with wet and mix until there is a thick batter like consistency.

2️.) Take a donut pan and spray each donut mold with nonstick butter spray. Add the batter evenly into all 6 molds. Add to the oven and bake for 10 minutes. Once done, pop out carefully and let cool for an hour or so on a cooling rack until they reach room temperature.

3️.) While those are cooling, make up the Cinnamon protein frosting by adding all the dry ingredients into a bowl and mixing to avoid clumping. Add water 10ml at a time and mix until there is a frosting-like consistency. Place in the refrigerator until the donuts are cool. Add the dry protein icing ingredients into a bowl and mix to avoid clumping. Then add a small amount of cold water (like 5ml) and mix. Add the plain nonfat greek and mix. Place in the refrigerator to cool.

4️.)When the donuts are cool, add the protein frosting on top, dip doughnuts into crushed cinnamon toast crunch cereal and then add Cinnamon Roll protein icing on top. Enjoy!
