Perfect for Meal Prep or Post-Workout Fuel

One of the best parts about these Ninja Creami recipes is how easy they are to prep ahead. You can blend your base, freeze it overnight, and have a pint ready to spin whenever you need it. That makes them perfect for meal prep, you’ll always have a healthy frozen option waiting in the freezer.

They’re also an ideal post-workout fuel. Whether you’re making a Ninja Creami chocolate ice cream recipe loaded with protein or a refreshing fruit sorbet, you’re getting a quick recovery treat that satisfies cravings while supporting your goals.

Easy to Modify Based on Dietary Needs

Cookies and cream ice cream in Ninja Creami machines are easy to make with any dietary preference. Here;s how:

Milks: You can use almond milk or any dairy-free milk alternative. This recipe uses Fairlife milk which is lactose-free.

If you decide to use almond milk, specifically a brand that contains 50 calories or less per cup, the final ice cream will be less creamy, because of the high water content.

Protein Powder: Substituting with a vegan protein can suck, but not if you use the ones we’ve created.

You can substitute using a 1:1 ratio (e.g. If 30g protein powder is in the recipe, substitute with 30g vegan protein powder).

Cookie Butter: Just like you can substitute regular protein powder with vegan protein powder, you can do the same with cookie butter! If you want the best vegan products in the game, my vegan cookie butters are insane. It’s literally a diet saver if you are lactose intolerant.

And if you do not have cookie butter, I’d recommend just substituting with powdered peanut butter. It won’t be the same but it’ll be close enough.

How to Make Chocolate Ice Cream in Ninja Creami: Step-by-Step Guide to Perfecting Ninja Creami Chocolate Ice Cream

Core Ingredients for a Macro Friendly Chocolate Base

  1. 225g Fat Free Fairlife Milk
  2. 225g Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk
  3. 30g Flex Brands Chocolate Whey/Casein Blend Protein Powder
  4. 10g Brownie Batter Protein Cookie Butter Powder
  5. 8g Sugar Free/Fat Free White Chocolate Pudding Mix
  6. 5g Black Cocoa Powder
  7. 5g Zero Calorie Sweetener of your choice
  8. Pinch of Sea Salt

Step-by-Step Instructions to Nail Creaminess and Flavor

  1. Place all of your ingredients into your Ninja Creami pint. Use a small hand blender and mix until smooth.
  2. Place the Ninja Creami pint in the freezer until it is frozen. I freeze mine the day before so it can freeze overnight. Pro tip: Get six extra Ninja Ceami pints to make six more batches to have for the entire week!
  3. Once it’s frozen, add it to your creami holster and press the “Ice Cream” function once and you are good to go! You may have to do a re-spin if it’s still crumbly! Enjoy!

What to Do If It’s Too Powdery or Too Icy

This may depend on the timing and the speed of the blade. I normally use the “Ice Cream”, “Lite Ice Cream” and “Sorbet” functions. Run the “Ice Cream” function if you want a dense ice cream rather than a lighter soft serve style consistency.

The ice cream setting runs for only 60 seconds and has a lower blade speed thus allowing for a denser end product because less air has been whipped in to it. Once it’s finished running, you can assess and see if it’s the consistency you desire. I recommend only running it once especially if you are adding mix-ins. You’ll want to be careful how many times you run it through because it’ll start to melt.
