Apple Pie Protein Waffle Tacos

106 Cal Apple Pie Protein Waffle Tacos

Ingredients

Ingredients for Protein Waffles (makes 4):

60g Vanilla Whey/Casein Blend Protein Powder

6g Zero Cal Sweetener

5g Baking Powder

3g Ground Cinnamon

Dash of Nutmeg

Pinch of Sea Salt

1 Large Egg

50g Egg Whites

Rest of Ingredients per Waffle Taco:

85g No Sugar Added Apple Pie Filling

Dash of Sea Salt

Dash of Powdered Sugar

Directions

1.) Add all your dry waffle ingredients into your bowl and mix to avoid clumping. Then add your wet ingredients and mix till you have a thick batter like consistency. You can add more liquid like milk or even water if you want the batter to be a bit more runny so you can make more waffles.

2.) Now spray your mini waffle maker with non stick cooking spray and add 1/4th of your batter to it. THIS IS NEXT POINT IS IMPORTANT! Be careful not to overcook these. Should be done in about a minute. Because they are so high protein and low cal, they will dry out quickly.

3.) Once your waffles are done, add your apple pie filling to the middle along with a dash of cinnamon and powdered sugar. Then fold into a taco and enjoy!
